Thoughts

You spent your whole life entertaining us and our worlds feel so much quieter without you. I will miss your humour, your jokes & your silliness for all my life. There is no one else in this world who is so effortlessly fun, caring and kind. Looking at photos of you, you ever stopped smiling and always looked so happy. Not just posing but truly beaming. It's impossible to understand that you're gone because your personality was so huge, the kind of spirit that should be eternal. There is a huge hole in our lives now that you're not with us. You were the definition of selfless and gave everything to us. We were so lucky and so privileged to have someone so special as our Grandpa. You are so loved by everyone. I can honestly say I will never meet someone as incredible as you in my life again, it's not possible. Thank you so much for always being there for us and making our time with you so special. I remember a time where I had said something silly and you looked at me and truly laughed and then looked at mum who said, "she gets that from you". I remember it so vividly because to be compared to you was the biggest compliment anyone could ever give me. We will love you always.

Grandpa, I’ve taken today to think about you and all you meant to me and this beautiful family you created. You gifted us all a life full of love and the happiest of memories that will carry us through the grief we feel now and forever. I’m writing this sat in a dog walking park, surrounded by the four legged creatures you adored. Looking at them now your affinity with them seems very fitting, the unconditional love, joy and support they bring are traits you embodied. You will be truly missed, but your service to this family is now done and I hope you rest peacefully knowing you equipped us with the tools we need to keep going without you. Love you grandpa Xx

Thank you Dad for always being there, with love and kindness. I remember you saying the best thing you can give a child is your time. You certainly lived up to that. I will love and miss you always.
